Why am I so obnoxious?

Written by on May 21 2008

I find myself getting asked the following questions quite often.

  • How do you like being a parent?
  • What do you do for a living?
  • How is owning your own company?
  • How is married life?
  • I heard you took on a business partner, how is it going?
  • Do you like your Mac?

These questions make me gush, get emotional and pour out a passionate response. I think these question reflect a pivital point/change in my life. A change/decision that I can’t imagine my life without. They’re changes in my path that brought me to a better place.

My answers to the questions above

  • My son is the coolest person I know, he has all the best things from me and all the best things from my wife. Hearing him laugh for the first time made me feel like I was in the clouds. You’ll never comprehend how much your parents love you until you have a child.
  • I design web apps, I make websites make sense and I work from home. There are so many killer people in my industry its exciting to watch the stuff people make. I read blogs that make my head spin with excitement, see other’s works that make me green with envy. I love what I do for a living.
  • I work with the most awesome people on the internet. We’re constantly doing awesome things and its something I look forward to each day. The people I’ve met and the things I’ve learned from them are priceless.
  • Anna, my wife, is my everything, I would be lost without her. She’s the most beautiful, funny, loving person I know. I look forward to spending the rest of our lives together.
  • Steve is a genius, he’s like no one you’ll ever meet. He has multiple skill sets which is amazing, I couldn’t partner with anyone except Steve. Steve makes me better at what I do.
  • You’ve never really enjoyed a computer until you have a Mac. Once you buy a Mac, you’ll kick yourself for not buying one sooner. AHHHHH I love my computer!!!!!

I’m not just passionate about my answers. I’m so passionate that I feel like the person asking can’t possibly imagine what I truly feel, so I go overboard with my excitement. Some people call that being obnoxious, I call it love.
