Questions Often Asked

What will my idea cost?

It depends a lot on what you're looking for, do you want a Yugo or an Mercedes? Most first versions cost between $20,000 - $70,000. Contact us and we'll be glad to talk things through.

How long with it take to develop?

Again, that mostly depends on what you want to build, but we try to launch a first version in 4 - 10 weeks.

What will my idea cost?

It's hard to know exactly, that's not BS either. The execution time on things that require collaboration are hard to estimate, plus we don't know how hard you'll be to work with. You might be a terrible monster.

What happens after launch?

Most development teams try to get rid of you after the first or second version and get on to the next new project. We're more interested in help your business succeed which means a lot more than writing code and making it look nice. Launching is the starting line, not the finish line. We'll stick with you as long as you'd like us to. We'll even help you hire a CTO and a team when you're ready to move things in house.

Why do projects fail?

Bad Idea (rarely)

Rarely is someone's idea absolutely terrible. Usually the ideas people have are too lofty for their limitations (budget, marketing knowledge, location).

Not Enough Money (often)

Often not having enough money can lead a person into other problems like not enough of a marketing budget or they hire an average designer or development team. We feel like $35,000 is a bare minimum a person needs to launch a very simple product online.

Bad Code (sometimes)

Sometimes a developer or dev team cannot complete a project within budget. We seen our share of rescue projects where the client has worked with another developer (usually a freelancer) they can't estimate time, they're over budget and/or the developer isn't able to take their instructions and turn it into features. Most clients don't know what good or bad code is, this is a dangerous position for a person trying to create a company.

Poor Design (sometimes)

Sometimes the project design is just "okay", but isn't great. While great design won't save a good idea without marketing it will absolutely help convert your website's traffic into customers.

No Marketing (often)

Often times a person will have an idea. "Let's change the way people buy houses!" but they have no idea how to reach their target market. They think everything that touches the internet has the chance of going viral. "Facebook did it"", they say.
